Freefall is our falling-price sale. Each item starts at a set price, and the price drops a little every second until someone buys it. Every item falls at its own steady speed, and the speed never changes partway down.
How do I buy?
Watch the price, and when it’s where you want it, click Buy it now. That locks the price for you, and no one else can buy that item. You’ll have 10 minutes to check out, and a timer shows how much time you have left. Items that aren’t paid for in time are released back into Freefall.
What if someone clicks Buy it now at the same moment?
The first click our site receives wins. If you’re a second too late, you’ll see a message that the item was just bought.
Can I put a Freefall item in my cart and come back later?
No. Freefall items can only be bought with the Buy it now button on the Freefall board. That locks your price right away.
Does the price go to zero?
It can. Some items have a lowest price they won’t go below. Others keep falling all the way down. If an item reaches the bottom without selling, it comes off the board and may come back at a later date.
Why did I see an item sell, then show up again later?
We sometimes have more than one of the very same item. We put up one at a time, so when one sells, another of the same piece may come up later. Each one starts over at its starting price.
Why is the starting price different from last time?
Starting prices can change, especially on precious metals and coins, which follow the gold and silver markets. Those can move quickly, so an item that comes back may start higher or lower than before.
When does my Freefall item ship?
Within five business days after payment. Regular store items ship the same or next business day.
Are Freefall items in the regular store?
No. Freefall and the regular store are two separate inventories. A Freefall item is never sold in the store, and store items never go into Freefall.
Returns?
Freefall purchases come with the same 30-day money-back guarantee as everything else we sell. If an item arrives damaged, defective or not as described, we pay the return shipping.
